James Cameron surpasses itself on the podium of the highest-grossing films in history. ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’ continues to conquer the worldwide box office, which already amounts to more than two billion dollars according to data from Box Mojo Office and thus the second installment of the franchise became the third highest-grossing film of all time, unseating “Titanic” from the bronze it held since 1997.

Cameron wins this battle against himself with just over a million lead. However, even though the film is in its 11th week on the bill, Cameron and his Navi promise continues to soar as he closes the gap to the next rival to beat: ‘Avengers: Endgame’. However, Cameron he is still far from moving up one more position. More than five hundred million dollars separate it from the final battle of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and seven hundred million from its predecessor, which holds, since 2009, the title of the highest-grossing film in history, ‘Avatar’.

With every Friday ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’: Find a new rival at the box office. The attempts of proposals such as ‘Knock on the door’ or ‘Babylon’ to oust them from the Spanish box office, where he continues to be the leader, have failed. As far as cinema attendance in the United States is concerned, although ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’ had already been achieved by other productions such as ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ (no release date for Spain), Cameron’s film continues to pick up at the top of the charts in its 11th week on the bill.

Of course, capping the list now is the recent release “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” which raised over $118 million in the United States and Canada in its first weekend.

It is the highest-grossing film in history in 27 countries.

Cameron will be left wanting to see a podium complete with his name on it, however, he gets something historic. Though he was unable to accomplish the feat he did in “Avatar,” 20th Century and Disney have to settle for another historic feat: “Avatar: The Sense of Water” is crowned as the highest-grossing films in the history of 23 countries: Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Cambodia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Colombia and Puerto Rico.

Equally remarkable is the result achieved in Bosnia, India, Korea, Serbia and Sri Lanka, where ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’ becomes the American production and distribution film with the highest grossing in the history of these four countries.
