Australian film and television director George Miller has died of a heart attack in a hospital in Melbourne, Australia. He turned 79.

He is best remembered for his film The man from Snowy Riverwhich led him to make films in Hollywood,

Unfortunately, Miller was destined to always be known as “the other George Miller.” This is because he simultaneously worked as the creator of the crazy max franchise, Dr. George Miller.

Miller worked on Australian television shows earlier in his career section 4, Matlock Police, The boxAnd The Sullivans. With the rise of TV miniseries, he tackled the colonial era Against the windwith pop singer Jon English.
