A dark and funny trailer has been released for the AMC series Lucky Hank which is headed next month. The series is the last team from breaking Bad AND Better call Saul star Bob Odenkirk and the network that brought us both successful programs. The story is based on the 1997 novel “Straight Man” by Richard Russo.
Lucky Hank is a “midlife crisis tale” that takes place on a fictional college campus in the Pennsylvania Rust Belt. Odenkirk plays William Henry “Hank” Devereaux Jr., the unlikely chairman of the college’s English department. Aaron Zelman (damage) AND Paul Lieberstein (The office) adapted the book and serves as co-showrunner.
The killing alum Mireille Enos she will play Hank’s wife, Lily, the vice principal of the local high school. “As Hank’s life begins to unravel, Lily begins to question the path he’s on and the choices he’s made,” according to the official description.
Looks like it will be another great series from AMC and Odenkirk! Check out the trailer below and see Lucky Hank when it debuts on March 19, 2023.
