From the first film in 1968 to the most recent in 2017, the Planet of the Apes saga has had several film adaptations throughout history. Seven years after the last one, “War for the Planet of the Apes”, we will see another installment of the sci-fi franchise: ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’, which does not yet have an official title in Spanish, but could be translated as ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’. Wes Ball (‘The Maze Runner’), director of the new film, has just confirmed through a video on his Twitter account that filming is over:

While there are still no plot details for ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’, we do know that the film is set “many years later” from the events of “War for the Planet of the Apes”. Owen Teague (‘It’), Freya Allan (‘The Witcher’), Peter Macon (‘The Orville’), Kevin Durand (‘The Strain’), Eka Darville (‘Jessica Jones’) and Dichen Lachman (‘Separation’ ) protagonist of the film, the premiere of which is scheduled for May 24, 2024. Josh Friedman (‘War of the Worlds’), Rick Jaffa (‘War for the Planet of the Apes’, ‘Avatar: The Water Way’), Amanda Silver (‘Avatar: The Water Way’, ‘Jurassic World’) and Patrick Aison (‘Predator: The Prey)’ is handling the screenplay.
‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ is the tenth film in the series based on the novel by Pierre Boulle. The saga consists of “Planet of the Apes” (1968), “Return to the Planet of the Apes” (1970), “Escape from the Planet of the Apes” (1971), “Rise of the Apes” (1972) ), ‘ Conquest of the Planet of the Apes’ (1973), Tim Burton’s ‘Planet of the Apes’ (2001) and the trilogy with Andy Serkis as Caesar: ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ (2011), ‘The’ Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ (2014) and ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ (2017).
