During last week’s Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advanced titles would be added to Nintendo Switch Online and Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass. This is a huge win for Nintendo in my opinion, and I know many others have been eagerly awaiting their additions as well. I thought it would be fun to talk about some games that I would like added to these respective libraries.
Here are the guidelines I set for myself. First, I’m going to put it into Game Boy/Color and Game Boy Advance to match how they’re available on the Nintendo Switch. Secondly, I will limit each list to ten titles. Thirdly, I won’t include anything that is already available on Switch in another way or is coming to Switch (e.g. Mega Man battle net Games, Shantae, etc.). Please note this is just me putting together a wish list and it is in no way a guarantee and I don’t even know how possible some of these would be. What games do you want to add?

Donkey Kong Earth 1-3

I’ve heard really good things about these Donkey Kong games and would love to try them out.
-
-
Harvest moon
-
Another game I’ve never played, but heard so much about. My understanding is that it’s very similar to Stardew Valley and similar games. It should be quite cold.

-
Heroes of Might & Magic II
-
I love Heroes of Might & Magic and didn’t know there was a Game Boy game, so I have to give it a try! From what I’ve read it combines a lot from early PC gaming.

Perfect dark
-
I honestly didn’t even know it existed until I researched this article. It’s a prequel to the N64 game and it would be great if both of these titles were added to the service and you could use them together like with the Transfer Pak.
-
-
Pokemon Pinball
-
This was such a fun spinoff, I think it deserves to be brought back even if the original games aren’t added.
-
-
Pokemon R/B/Y/G/S/C
-
I’m so confused how none of the original Pokémon games were launch titles. How did it happen? It would be great if they could also include the Pokémon Bank features of the 3DS versions, but I’m not holding my breath. I’d also love it if they launched Pokémon Stadium for the N64 and you could access these games as with a Transfer Pak back in the day. Again, I doubt it, but that would be great!

Pokémon TCG 2
-
I think it would be really cool for them to bring this Japan exclusive game like they did with Star Fox 2 to the SNES.
-
-
Rayman
-
Rayman is a fun little platformer that I think could use a bit of a revival.
-
-
Super Mario Earth
-
They gave us the second, I just want the first too.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Stories of dark duels

Does this follow the rules of Yu-Gi-Oh!? No. Will it be nostalgia fuel for me? YES!

Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku
-
This is a Dragon Ball Z Action RPG and I’ve never been able to play it. I really just want to play this game and its sequels!
-
-
Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors
-
This is a fun fighting game where you can be one of your favorite DBZ characters in teams of three before FighterZ was made. I’ve already played it a bit on an emulator and it was a blast!
-
-
Final Fantasy Tactics Advancement
-
This is a notoriously amazing game. I’ve never played it, but I have friends who say it’s one of their favorite games ever and so I’d like to give it a try.

-
Medabots Metabee/Rokusho
-
This is a fun game where you can customize your Medabots for 3v3 combat that uses a pretty unique combat system. Also, I feel like we all forgot how cool Medabots was in general.
-
-
Metroid Zero mission
-
This was a remake of the original Metroid and features some bonus content at the end. It’s a lot of fun to play and looks great.

-
Pokemon R/S/E/FR/LG
-
Much like the Game Boy games, I’m amazed that none of the major Pokémon games were launch titles. The first three generations are highly regarded by many with Generation III typically being in the top 3 generations of any fan. What the hell?
-
-
Spider-Man: The Menace of Mysterio
-
I love the Spider-Man PS1 game and this is meant to be a standalone sequel to it and Spider-Man 2, so I’m instantly sold.
-
-
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords
-
This is a bit tricky for a couple of reasons. First, it was on the same cartridge as a port of A Link to the Past, which is already available through the SNES on Switch Online. Also, Four Swords is multiplayer only although I understand it was later re-released as DSiWare for a limited time which introduced a single player mode. Maybe we could get that version? I’d love to play a multiplayer Zelda game that isn’t a spin-off and this is probably my best shot.

-
Yu-Gi-Oh! Games
-
Put them all in. There were loads of them and they are a mixed bag. You have the ones that really make you play Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, there are those who say “to hell with the rules!” and give you a dark JRPG, and then you have spin-offs like Dungeon Dice Monsters. Give them all to me!
-
-
Zoid’s Legacy
-
I love Zoids and have played a fair amount of this game in the past but never finished it. It’s a really fun turn-based RPG where you get to customize your Zoids and all the different timelines and universes from the show are put into one story, meaning you’ll likely come across your favorite characters no matter which show they’re from. they come.
