Marvel Studios has launched The crown star Emma Corrin in the highly anticipated film Deadpool 3and the actor will join Ryan Reynolds AND Hugh Jackman in their wild adventure. Corrin will take on the role of the villain, but there are no details on who exactly that character will be, so there will be a lot of speculation going on!
Shawn Levi is set to direct the film with Paul Wernick AND Rhett Reese write the screenplay, which he worked on previously Wendy Molyneux AND Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin. One thing we do know about the movie is that Wolverine and Deadpool aren’t going to get along. It’s been explained that Wolverine hates Deadpool, and Jackman has spoken about this before, saying:
“How do I classify it? Ten is very close, zero is reality, we are zero, we are opposites, we hate each other. I’m just talking from my point of view, [Logan’s] frustrated with him, wants to be a million miles away from him or wants to punch him in the head. Unfortunately, she can’t be a million miles away from him in this movie, so I’m probably going to be punching him in the head a lot.
Reynolds has also previously spoken about developing the story for the film with high expectations from fans, saying the film’s tone will be a “tightrope walk,” but believes the crazy blend of these two personalities will create a big movie:
“I think it’s a tightrope walk. I mean, most of these movies are always a tightrope tone walk, so in this case though, you’ve got a collision of two pretty iconic characters that exist in the Marvel Ancillary Universe [laughs] – we’re in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at this point.
“It’s really kind of finding a way to serve both of these characters that feels extraordinarily authentic to each of them, and I think these two wrongs will actually do a right thing in a really great way.”
As for Corrin’s casting, Deadline says Marvel has been eyeing their return over the holidays, but Corrin has a very busy schedule and everyone had to figure it out before they could fully commit. Who do you think they will play in the film?
