Jon Favreau already has his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The actor, director, screenwriter and producer, father of ‘The Mandalorian’ and founding member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as director of ‘Iron Man’, unveiled the tribute to him on February 13 with an exceptional godfather: Robert Downey Jr .
The actor who played Tony Stark in MCU was in charge of saying a few words in honor of his friend. Downey Jr. said this about Favreau “His greatest gift is his humanity, and then there’s his funny side. For that alone this man deserves this star. You’ll never meet someone with such an extremely sophisticated wit. Why? Because he gets the joke, and a sometimes the joke is painful. He deeply understands that life is fleeting and if we don’t laugh, we die.”. Speaking of their work together on ‘Iron Man’, the actor commented: “Sixteen years ago this week, Jon and I were immersed in acting in what felt like an elevated independent film, propelled by an infectious and unfounded confidence. I was beyond grateful for the power of second chances. The journey I shared with him is too much ‘kesmetastic’ even imagine, and it’s only a small part of his massive narrative journey that continues to leave us uplifted, inspired and connected.”.
