You sit down, it starts and the movie is just one ride. , and you feel like you haven’t caught your breath. It begins and ends. So there really aren’t these big pockets to talk about other movies. Of course it has all the funny nods and meta-commentary. But we really liked how fast-paced this story is. It felt like a reflection of how fast the process was.”

Barrera also recently spoke about the film saying and the time frame of the story saying, “No, it’s not [a big time jump] at all. It’s almost right after the last one. Essentially, the amount of time that has passed between movies is the amount of time that has passed in Scream time.”
