COCAINE BEAR Director Elizabeth Banks is ready to make a movie about COCAINE SHARK

Cocaine bear looks like it’s going to be an incredibly crazy, blood-soaked thriller. It’s not the kind of movie I would have expected to see Elizabeth Banks direct, but she did, and I’m with it! Well, this might not be the last cocaine animal movie we see being made because the director is also interested in making a possible Cocaine shark movie!

Last week, the ‘cocaine shark’ became a trending topic on social media after New Zealand officials reported the discovery of more than three tons of cocaine floating in the Pacific Ocean. Now, there are no reports of a shark going on a killing spree from ingesting cocaine, but the idea is now out there and it seems like a pretty easy story to piece together.

When asked about Cocaine shark in an interview with People, Banks said, “I’ve seen it, if there’s a good story, then sure. Jaws with cocaine, I don’t see how it leaks.”

Cocaine bear is inspired by the bizarre true story of a giant 500-pound American black bear who died after ingesting 70 pounds of cocaine after a drug smuggler’s plane crashed.

Cocaine bear was written by Jimmy Guardianto whom he sent the script Phil Lord AND Chris Miller, who then shared that script with Banks, and shared his introduction to the film, which they obviously loved. miller said:

“It had a pitch deck, and it was pretty gory. There were a lot of body parts and internal organs. It was one of those things where you listen to the concept and go, ‘That’s interesting, but there’s a real movie in it. ?’ … But Jimmy did a great job turning it into something that was going to be fun, better than you can imagine for something called Cocaine Bear.”

The synopsis reads: “Don’t Coke the Bear. Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug smuggler’s plane crash, cocaine went missing and the black bear ate it. This madcap thriller from director Elizabeth Banks finds a strange group of cops, criminals, tourists and teenagers who converge in a Georgia forest where a 500-pound predator has just ingested an incredible amount of cocaine and goes on a coke-fueled rampage for multiple hits… and blood.

The film is the protagonist Keri RussellMargo Martindale, the late Ray Liotta, Alden Ehrenreich, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Kristofer Hivju, Kahyun Kim, Christian Convery, Brooklynn PrinceAND Scott Seiss.

The film will hit theaters on February 24, 2023.
