With the premiere of the first part of season 4 of ‘YOU’, the famous actor Penn Badley took advantage of the social network trend to make a fun TikTok video where he faces serial killer Joe Goldberg face to face and tries to make him a better person by teaching him a basic rule: don’t kill people.
Through his TikTok account, actor Penn Badgley has shown a completely different state of mind and personality compared to Joe Goldbergthe character who has marked his career since the first season of ‘YOU’, the successful Netflix series which over the years has become a phenomenon thanks to its controversial story.
This video of Penn Badgley against Joe Goldberg has gone viral on social networks and on the official account of Netflix he also bought it so that the whole world can see the vast differences between the protagonist of “YOU” and the character he plays in the crime story, where he tries to make him a better person but fails.

This scene featured by Penn Badgley on his networks is reminiscent of a very similar moment in “SpongeBob” where Patrick denies a wallet that is his. Like the funny moment in “Friends” where Phoebe tries to teach Joey French but fails, although in this case the actor plays both characters.
Penn Badgley won’t defend Joe Goldberg for his crimes
On several occasions, Penn Badgley has spoken out against his character Joe Goldberg, whom he has a strange appreciation for as he admits that he loves him for what he has brought to his working life, but completely disapproves of the actions that see him do so on the show, since homicide to bullying.
Penn Badgley is a completely different person from Joe Goldberg and the only thing they have in common are their faces, because even when they speak they have a different intonation, defined by the depth and seriousness with which the serial killer expresses himself in his Original Netflix productionalthough curiously Badgley said some time ago that he would like to hug the criminal.
In an interview in 2022, Penn Badgley confessed that he has empathy for Joe Goldberg in terms of lack of love, which is why he would find a way to love him and even hug him to try to make him a better person, but on the other hand he recognizes that he be a dangerous serial killer who shouldn’t be spared from justice.
