Taking place during the era of the High Republic, it will follow young Jedi as they study the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, help citizens and creatures in need, and learn valuable skills. It should be a fun introduction to the world of Star Wars for children who are too young to watch the original movies. Like Lucasflim’s James Waugh puts it:

“Star Wars” transcends generations; fans of all ages deeply connect with its imaginative worlds, mythic stories and unique characters… “During the development of ‘Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures’, the first ‘Star Wars’ series created for preschoolers, the creative team never stopped thinking about how this show could be a ‘young’ first step into a larger world and their first experience of the limitless potential of the ‘Star Wars’ galaxy. The characters, tone and life lessons of the show woven into each episode were written especially for them, and our talented team is committed to honoring their cinematic legacy while staying true to parental expectations for younger audiences.

The show will star Jamaal Avery Jr. as Kai Brightstar, Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay, Dee Bradley Baker like Nub, Emma Bermann as Nash Durango, Jonathan Lipow such as RJ-83 and Piotr Michael like Master Yoda. Two new images from the show have been released showcasing these new characters which you can check out below. The designs look good so far, so we’ll see what the writing is like for the show. Will you check it out with your kids when it comes out?
