A SPIDER-MAN NOIR live-action series is in the works at Amazon Studios

I have some exciting news to share with all of you Spider-Man fans! Amazon Studios’ web of Spider-Man projects just got even bigger with the spectacular news of a live-action series that will center on none other than Spider-Man Noir! YES! According to Variety, a live-action Spider-Man Noir the series is currently in the works and I, for one, am thrilled about it!

The series will be set in the 1930s as we follow the adventures of this variant of Spider-Man ready to take on the criminal underworld in his unmistakable noir style. We have already seen Nicolas Cage voice the dark hero in the critically acclaimed animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Versebut it will be interesting to see the Noir Spider-Man in live action.

Spider-Man Noir it’s not the only project in development as Amazon is also currently developing shows for Silk: Spider Society. Sony Pictures Television Studios president Katherine Pope recently spoke about the future of the Spider-Man universe shows and how they’re taking center stage. She said:

“It’s definitely a big focus for all of us here, and for me in particular. I was already a fan of Angela Kang, so I’m really, really excited to be working with her on Silk. She’s just brilliant and a total professional.

“This is also an example of us working closely with Tom Rothman and Sanford Panitch, and the film group, to make sure we’re keeping up with them and working on an equal footing. They’ve done an incredible job with that franchise, so we want to make sure to work at that level”.
