Debbie and Peter met over a one night stand, but they’ve since built a friendship that they still maintain two decades later. When Debbie, a single mom who is tremendously focused on being “practical”, finds out that she really needs a break, Peter offers her house to relax for a few days. The plan is for him to fly to Los Angeles to be with her and take care of their daughter, while she enjoys the ideal New York bachelor pad.. What begins as “The Holiday (Vacations)” but without the Christmas twist, it ends with both of them considering whether it’s time to give each other a chance as a couple.

This is “Your house or mine”, a new romantic proposal that Netflix launches this February 10, a movie written and directed by the screenwriter of ’27 Dresses’ and ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, Aline Brosh McKenna, and with Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon. So these two Hollywood stars have been a couple of weeks tirelessly pose together on the red carpet. The intense promotion of the film in which they share the lead role has led them to conduct numerous very funny snapshots for some tweeters. From the moment those awkward poses first made their way onto social media, numerous fans have jumped in to point out the lack of chemistry they both display, something especially surprising considering what they’re promoting is a romantic film.
“Actors playing romantic roles should go to Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain promo school. why… what is this?”, said a user of the aforementioned social network, causing other Twitter users to remember promotions much more accurately. From the clip in character made by Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley promote “The Bridgertons”, said fiery moment shared by Isaac and Chastain thanks to ‘Wedding Secrets’crossing the palpable connection between Glen Powell and Zoey Deutch after ‘How to Get Rid of Your Boss’; the examples of the most successful advertising tours with regard to carpet images continue to multiply.

So much so that Mila Kunis herself ended up speaking out. Witherspoon reveals this in his visit to the North American newspaper Today, assuring her that her friend sent her an email telling her she couldn’t look more uncomfortable posing with her husband. “I’m best friends with Mila because we’ve known each other for a long time”says the interpreter, commenting that since he started working with Kutcher, he has shared the experience with Kunis. “[Mila] She even sent us an email last night to tell us how uncomfortable we are on the red carpet.. [La situación en general] It’s funny because when you know your friend really well, it’s always nice to get to know her partner more.”. In this case, Reese reacted naturally to the comments swarming the internet, without even having to ask. Quite the opposite of how her co-star reacted, who until she had to address the issue, didn’t allude to the matter.
uncomfortable overall
“It’s become a meme!”, says one of the hosts of the “Chicks in the office” podcast. Ashton Kutcher also spoke about the uncomfortable positions he shared with Witherspoon during the ‘Your house or mine’ campaign. He did it in the aforementioned podcast making it clear that, in general, the whole red carpet experience is an uncomfortable one.
“My wife called me and Texted me and Reese like ‘you guys gotta act like you like each other’ and I was like ‘but what’s going on’. The problem is that if I hug her and be friendly with her, it looks like we’re involved, the rumor would be that we are in a relationship. And if I just pose next to him with my hands in my pockets, there’s no way to get that voice going, they say we can’t stand it. Reese and I are very good friends. And it’s not something I have to defend.”Kutcher says, later explaining that he has an added difficulty on red carpets: He doesn’t hear very well so he doesn’t know who’s calling. So, the process becomes somewhat of a ball, 20 minutes looking at different cameras capturing many moments. “If you tell me that in those 20 minutes you will never have a strange face, you are better than me at this”.
