Lionsgate’s Adele Lim comedy gets title, first image

called Lionsgate joy ride as the title of the upcoming comedy that will mark the film debut of Crazy rich Asians Writer Adele Lim The studio also unveiled the first photo from the film on Monday, which you can watch below.

The film, out June 23, stars Ashley Park (Emily in Paris), Sherry Cola (Good difficulty), 2023 Oscar nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything, everywhere, all at once) and Sabrina Wu as four unlikely friends who embark on a once-in-a-lifetime international adventure. When Audrey’s (Park) business trip to Asia goes awry, she enlists the help of Lolo (Cola), her irreverent childhood friend who also happens to be a hot-shot gangster; Kat (Hsu), her colleague, has become a Chinese soap star; and Deadeye (Wu), Lolo’s eccentric cousin. Their uninhibited, epic experience becomes a journey of connection, friendship, connectedness and wild debauchery that reveals the universal truth of what it means to know and love who you are.

The film Point Gray and Red Mysterious Hippo also stars Ronny Chiang (Crazy rich Asians), Desmond Chiam (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Alexander Hodge (Uncertain) and Chris Pang (Crazy rich Asians). Screenplay by Cherry Chevapravatdumrong & Teresa Hsiao is based on a story by Chevapravatdumrong, Hsiao and Lim. Producers pictured are Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Josh Fagen, Chevapravatdumrong, Hsiao and Lim.

Lionsgate recently released titles including the action figure Gerard Butler Aircraft and the action rom-com shotgun marriage with Jennifer Lopez. Among those to be released by the studio next are Jesus Revolution (February 24), John Wick: Chapter 4 (March 24), Ray Romano’s directorial debut Somewhere in Queens (April 21) and the Judy Blume edition are you there god it’s me margaret (April 28).
