James Gunn shares his plan for a possible SUPERMAN video game

In addition to all the movies and TV shows developed for DC Studios, there’s also a Superman video game that we can expect to see at some point. We already knew that James Gunn AND Peter Safran they were planning to develop games that connect with the greater DC universe.

Safran explained, “Gaming is a big part of what we’re doing and everything we do at DC runs through us. Gaming is only a part of it, but it’s an area we love and think could really be expanded.” he went on to say that these games they make will put “the emphasis on storytelling and the universe, as opposed to individual movies or television.”

Safe! I like its sound! Talking about the stories they tell, explain that they will be supplementary stories to fill the gaps between the films. He said:

“It’s not like ‘Superman’ comes out and then the ‘Superman’ game comes out. It’s more like ‘Superman’ comes out, then two years later, ‘Supergirl’ comes out. So what’s the story in between? Is there a Kyrpto game which we can play, which is in between, which is still set in the world with these characters? But that’s a separate thing. To give games the importance they deserve.”

I love that they’re trying to make the stories in these games stand out, but at the same time, it also feels like they’re going to be a “second fiddle” type story created in an attempt to build an audience across multiple forms of media.

So in order for fans to experience Gunn’s full DC arc, they’ll also need to have a gaming console, and there are a lot of people out there who don’t play video games and are unlikely to ever fill in the gaps left by games. . I guess they can always watch playback videos on YouTube!

One thing is for sure, it seems like it will be a long time before we see any video games, like this one Gunn mentions Superman, released.

She’s not exactly the Super Girl we’re used to seeing.”
