Dave Bautista says Drax’s story ends “in the perfect way” in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3

Dave BautistaDrax’s time is running out James Gunn’S The Guardians of the Galaxy. I imagine this will end the story arcs for some of the other characters on the team as well. One thing we know for sure is that Gunn will bring this trilogy to a close, and I have no doubt that he will make a fantastic final film in the trilogy that he set out to make.

During a recent interview with Variety, Dave Bautista talked about his character Drax and explained that his story ends perfectly. He also explained that he will never play Drax again just for a salary. He said:

“We all had those perfect character arcs and a storybook ending. I constantly relate that to how I ended my wrestling career. I ended it on a storybook note. And I would never go back back to blur this one. And it’s the same with this one. With Drax, I just have to finish the perfect way. And I would never sign up for another job like Drax just to get a paycheck. [perfect ending]and I won’t.”

It’s good to hear, a proper ending for Drax is all we can hope for. Bautista previously spoke about playing Drax saying he doesn’t want this silly performance to be his legacy. He said:

“I’m so thankful for Drax. I love. But there is a relief [that it’s over]. It wasn’t all pleasant. It was difficult to play that role. The make up process was getting me down. And I don’t know if I want Drax to be my legacy — it’s a silly performance and I want to do more dramatic stuff.

There was a lot more that could have been done with Drax’s character, but it seems like this story arc is all we’re going to get.

There are also new additions to the cast Will Poult such as Adam Warlock e Chukwudi Iwuji such as the High Evolutionary as well as Daniela Melchior, Nico SantoAND Borat next movie‘S Maria Bakalova like Cosmo the space dog.

The film will hit theaters on May 5, 2023.
