Indie Video Game Roundup #1 7 – THE DRAGONESS: COMMAND OF THE FLAME, DUNGEON ALCHEMIST, GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- and more

I’m back with more indie video game news for everyone. There’s been a lot of news lately, so I don’t want to wait too long to get in. If you think I missed something I should have mentioned, let us know in the comments below. What indie game news are you excited about?

First, we have the announcement of Crazy Goat Games and PQube The Dragoness: Command of the Flame it’s coming to consoles this year. The strategic RPG from which it takes its inspiration Heroes of strength and magic it’s ours Anna Williams I enjoyed playing it on PC. Later this year, players will be able to enjoy it on Nintendo Switch, PS4/5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Next, Dungeon alchemist announced that at the end of January, Dungeon alchemist would get the Winter Wonderland update for free. This is a great map creation tool for fantasy-themed tabletop RPGs, and the new update brings snow and related assets like snowmen into the mix. In fact, there are over 500 new assets with it. There are also some new features that weren’t included in the press release. You can go to Steam now to purchase Underground Alchemist and start building immediately.

Third, we have a trailer for the party volleyball arcade game Volleyball buddies. Sounds like a fun game if you like pure chaos. Xbox players will be able to serve on March 10th while Nintendo Switch and Steam players will have to wait until April 6th.

Guilty Gear -Strive- players should be thrilled. It has been announced that a beta test for cross-platform play will be launched this weekend. From February 3 at 11pm PT through February 6 at 5am PT, PC, PlayStation, and Xbox gamers will be able to play together to test the system that is expected to be released in full this spring. All 22 characters will be available for use in the following game modes. You’re excited?

• Tutorial Mode – Players can learn the basics of how to play the game

• Mission Mode: Players will learn techniques useful for matches in a mission format

• Survival Mode: Fight consecutive battles against the COM with a limited health pool.

Benjamin Rommel Games has announced that their ftl extension AND XCOM extension inspired game Galactic Crew II will leave Early Access and receive the full launch on Steam on May 8th. The game first launched in Early Access in 2021 and has seen many updates and fixes over the last couple of years, including one to the custom game engine moving forward.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the righteous by Owlcat Games recently announced that it has sold 1 million copies. Additionally, the team shared that the first DLC for Season Pass 2 will launch on February 28 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One players. A cloud version for Nintendo Switch will be released later. The DLC is titled The last Sarkorians and will contain a new companion and the Shifter class. There will also be new abilities made available to the player similar to Ulbrig’s abilities.

The nation of Sarkoris has been destroyed by demons, but the last of its inhabitants are ready to fight back. Mimimi Games has announced a new stealth strategy game called Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew. In this game, you will be part of a ghost ship in search of a mysterious treasure. The game looks great and is scheduled for release on PC (Steam | Epic), PS5 and Xbox Series X | S (affiliate link) in 2023.

505 Games and Raccoon Logic have announced their Stadia exclusive game Journey to the Savage Planet: Employee of the Month Edition will be saved after the death of the video game streaming platform. Starting February 14, fans will be able to play on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This will also come as a free update for PS4 and Xbox One owners. This version of the game includes the base game, Hot Garbage DLC, bonus conversations with Martin Tweed, 4K support, graphics and performance options, and enhanced photo mode.

Join the Kindred Aerospace program as their highly dedicated employee of the month, tasked with uncovering all sorts of otherworldly mysteries on ARY-26, a colorful and decidedly non-hazardous planet! For all of you Dune fans, Shiro Games and Funcom recently rolled out the Line in the Sand update for Dune: Spice Wars. Now, players will find new content across the board, including an end-of-game stats tab that has been a much-requested feature. In addition, military units have undergone a rebalancing and made some improvements to their artificial intelligence. That’s not all, as map generation and initial spawns have also been improved to make the game fairer. All of this comes along with new regions, military gear, adviser reworks, and more.

Meanwhile, Atari has announced Caves of Mars: Reloadedthe last title of the Atari reloaded series. This game has players digging across Mars trying to reach the core of the planet. You can play solo or with a partner and try to climb the global leaderboards. you can play Caves of Mars: Reloaded on Atari VCS, Nintendo Switch, PC (GOG|Steam), PS4/5 and Xbox consoles this spring.

In Caverns of Mars: Recharged, players advance through 30 unique missions set in three primary “depths” of Mars, descending deeper and deeper into enemy territory. Weave through incoming enemy fire, dash through debris and obstacles, and dodge other obstacles, all while keeping an eye on your fuel and ammo reserves. Featuring a unique local co-op mode, players can team up with a partner assigned to sail while the other player shoots the drone!

If you are a fan of the classic 1995 game Terminal speed, you’ll be thrilled to hear it’s coming back! Ziggurat Interactive recently announced Terminal Velocity: Enhanced Edition will launch on PC on March 14th. This version of the Terminal Reality game will feature smoother gameplay, enhanced graphics, a “fast framerate” and improved sound. There will also be achievements and trophies to hunt down as you play. There are also plans to release the game on consoles at a later date. In Terminal Velocity: Boosted Edition, players will strap into a fully decked out combat ship and battle their way through nine enemy-infested planets across the galaxy. Fantasy Tower has recorded solid success, and Level Infinite and Hotta Studio recently announced a new simulacrum joining the game called Alyss.
