‘Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania’ Gets 0M Projected US Debut: It’s All About Kang

Disney/Marvel Studios Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania tracked today with an estimated 4-day open of $120 million according to industry sources. The threequel hits theaters on February 17 and is the first in a flurry of largely weekly tentpole fare off the market since the summer.

The result for Quantum mania will be after Disney/Marvel’s in the top three openings for Presidents Day weekend Black Panther in 2018 ($242.1 million) and dead pool ($152.1 million).

Why so big? It all comes down to Marvel’s new villain, Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors, who has a more prominent lead role in the films here, first introduced on Disney+/Marvel.
