Christoph Waltz stars in the action comedy OLD GUY from CON AIR director Simon West

Christopher Waltz (No time to die, Inglourious Basterds, Django) has come aboard to star in a new action comedy titled An old. It looks like this movie could be a lot of fun and will be directed by Simon Westbest known for films such as Air conditioning, The Mercenaries 2, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and more. The film was written by Greg Johnson (The last son).

Waltz will play contract hitman Terry Eubanks who “still believes he’s the best at what he does. Stuck at an impasse, he’s thrilled when The Company takes him back into the field, but only to train Gen Z newcomer Wihlborg, an assassin prodigy with a temper. The mismatched pair are asked to eliminate top members of a competing crime syndicate and, in the process, discover their employer’s real motive: to remove the old guard in a full-on takeover. Little did The Company foresee, however, that Terry’s experience coupled with the boy’s brilliance would create such an unlikely bond between the two, allowing them to turn everything around The Company.

West said, “It’s very rare that a script like this comes along. When he does it you have to grab him with both hands and not let go until you find your perfect actor. I have wanted to work with Christoph Waltz for many years. He is one of the most versatile actors working today. I can’t wait to see him create another unique and iconic character.”

It definitely looks like it’s going to be a big project for Waltz! West and Waltz working together on this is sure to deliver a great and fun action movie! Production will begin in early 2023 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
