Ryan Reynolds says DEADPOOL 3 is like a ‘tightrope walk’ where they’re finding a way to serve each of the film’s stars

Fans of the Deadpool franchise were already excited Deadpool 3 to hit the screen, as this will be the first Merc with a Mouth movie within the Marvel Universe. But expectations and excitement skyrocketed when he was revealed by Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynoldswho will also star in this upcoming film Hugh Jackmanit’s Wolverine!

In a recent interview with The Wrap, Reynolds spoke about the making of this film with such high expectations from fans, saying that while the film’s tone will be a “tightrope walk,” he thinks the chaotic blend of these two personality will create an incredibly satisfying meal.

“I think it’s a tightrope walk. I mean, most of these movies are always a tightrope tone walk, so in this case though, you’ve got a collision of two pretty iconic characters that exist in the Marvel Ancillary Universe [laughs] – we’re in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at this point.

When asked what the tone is Deadpool 3 it might seem, Reynolds assured that audiences will get an authentic Deadpool and an authentic Wolverine in the same film, adding:

“It’s really kind of finding a way to serve both of these characters that feels extraordinarily authentic to each of them, and I think these two wrongs will actually do a right thing in a really great way.”

We can not wait! I loved the first two Deadpool movies and I love the fast-paced real-life banter Reynolds and Jackman share. The film will be rated R, a first for the MCU, and is directed by Shawn Levi (Free boy, The Adam Project, Stranger things). Production is expected to begin later this year, with a theatrical release in 2024.
