Square Enix and Luminous Productions recently released a new trailer for Abandoned. This trailer looked at the features and requirements that the game will have on PC and it certainly caused quite a stir. As for features, there’s support for 32:9 ultra-widescreen monitors, use of AMD FidelityFX support, AMD FSR 2 implementation, Samsung SSD support for super-fast load times, and more. Honestly, the game looks absolutely stunning. However, the system requirements are quite demanding.

At a minimum, you’ll need 16GB of RAM, an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, and an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i7-3770 to play games at a targeted resolution of 720p with 30 frames per second. That doesn’t sound too bad outside of the RAM requirements, but then the ‘recommended’ spec is much more powerful and the target is apparently 1440p with 30fps. I’m personally interested to see what 1080p with 60fps would require versus 1440p/30fps. Hopefully my RTX 2060 and 16GB of RAM will be enough, although I’m suddenly very doubtful. Of course, to play games at 2160p at 60fps, you’ll need one of the latest GPUs, although your CPU may be a year or so old, as long as you have 32GB of RAM. Will you be able to run it?
Abandoned launches January 24 for PC and PS5, and digital pre-orders for PC will include the Spectra Combo Necklace, Elite Cape, and Overclocked Nails. Pre-orders are now open and if you want to play on PC, you can go through Epic, the Microsoft Store (affiliate link) or Steam.
