The second one Avatars movie, Avatar: The Way of Water, is finally out and, with its success, we are sure that we will see the third film in the series, followed by the fourth and fifth. Director James Cameron he’s already shot the third film, so all he has to do is edit and fine-tune it before its release in December next year. We don’t know the film’s name or synopsis yet, but Cameron has given us an idea who he’ll be focusing on.
In a recent interview with Variety, Cameron explained:
“Lo’ak really emerged as a character that people got married to. So I might find ways to… he’s already the narrator. I’m giving something away here, but that’s OK. I think it might be intriguing for people to think about what’s coming. Jake was our voiceover narrator for film one and film two, and we have a different narrator for each of the subsequent films. We see it through the eyes of a different character. The third film is through the eyes of Lo’ak.
As for what he plans to do to work on the film before it comes out, Cameron said:
“I’ll take a moment as the dust clears to assess what people have loved and responded to the most in this current release, and then I might go back and tinker a bit [with ‘Avatar 3’]. We could go back and take a moment or two here and there. It won’t be radical, but maybe polish it a bit to emphasize what people are responding to.
Avatars 3 hits theaters December 20, 2024. Are you excited for the next chapter in the story?
