Creating the perfect film isn’t easy, even for the greatest of filmmakers. But there are movies out there that fans consider perfect. I think most of us have our own standards of what makes a perfect film.

Well, a couple of months ago Quentin Tarantino appeared on Jimmy Kimmel showand while there, he chatted about what he thinks makes a perfect movie and then shared a list of movies that fit his parameters.
In his book Film speculation, Tarantino wrote, “For me, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is one of the few perfect movies ever made.” That’s what sparked the conversation with Kimmel, and the director explained:
“Well, there aren’t many. This one just complains that the cinematic art form is difficult. Look, when you say perfect movies you’re talking about the aesthetics of every single person, but also trying to take into account all the “aesthetic…perfect movies kind of crosses all aesthetics in one way or another. It might not be your cup of tea, but there’s nothing you can say to bring it down.”
Then he goes on to share the six movies he thinks are perfect:
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
Jaws (1975)
The exorcist (1973)
Annie Hall (1977)
Young Frankenstein (1974)
Back to the Future (1985)
These are all great films but with all the different opinions and tastes out there, they are definitely up for debate. When previously speaking of JawsTarantino called it the best film ever made, explaining:
“When ‘Jaws’ came out in 1975, it might not have been the best movie ever made. But it was hands down the best movie ever made. Nothing was ever made before it came close. Because for the first time the man at the helm was not a Richard Fleischer or a Jack Smight or a Michael Anderson executing a studio assignment, but a natural born director genius who was exactly suited to this type of film and would kill himself to deliver the exact vision in his head.
Now that we know what Tarantino thinks, what do you think? Do you agree with him on his movie list? What are some movies that have been made that you consider perfect?
