The series Criminal Minds: Evolution got a second season renewal at its home of streaming, Paramount+. The streamer claims the series is one of his top five original shows and has also increased viewership for the original.
Evolution reunites much of the regular cast of the 2005-2020 CBS show, including Joe Mantegna, AJ Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez And Paget Brewsteras the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit tries to track down a killer (played by Zach Gilford) who has used the pandemic to build a network of other serial killers.
Tanya Giles, Chief Programming Officer at Paramount Streaming, said in a statement:
“We are thrilled to bring even more twisted storylines to our loyal fans of Criminal Minds: Evolution with the order of another season. The series has always been one of the best consistent performances for Paramount+ and fans have quickly embraced this new season with its more serialized elements. There are still many dark twists yet to come for the BAU this season, and we can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store.”
The renewal comes as the 10-episode first season picks up on Thursday after a holiday hiatus. The season finale is set for February 9. Can’t wait for the next season of Criminal Minds: Evolution?
