The actor recently sat down for a chat with Wired and speaking about his journey, he said, “Looking back, much of it seems to present itself as just an opportunity. When my parents ended up on a list of forgiven exiles and were able to return to Chile, came with huge families on both sides which the experience of growing up in the US lacked. I guess it’s only in middle age that it seems like it can be emotionally difficult to accept that there is no “It’s Not Anywhere to plant my flag as an individual. Everywhere is home and nowhere is home. But even that seems like a good thing to me. It’s often considered a disadvantage in our culture, but it’s an advantage in character and outlook, and in perspective.”
The actor was then asked about starring in a Marvel movie, and he replied, “But I do. I want to be in movies.” The guy loves being an actor, he just wants to be in movies and it makes sense that he wants to star in the Marvel sandbox.
