I have another great color vintage video to share with you from the NASS YouTube channel. This video features old footage from the city of San Francisco, California, and the footage has been colorized and upgraded to HD quality. I love watching these videos!
I colored, restored and created a sound design for this video of 1940s San Francisco, several shots of a neighborhood of Chinatown, Sacramento and Grant Avenues in San Francisco, and some shots of the shipyards and the pier in San Francisco, general shots of the back and front, showing the various docks, the ships and the bridge.
Video Restoration Process:
FPS boosted to 60 frames per second
Image resolution increased up to HD
Improved video clarity and brightness
Colored for environment only (not historically accurate)
added sound design for ambiance only
restoration: (stabilize, denoise, clean, deblur)
Please note that the colors of the coloring are not real and fake, the coloring was made for the environment only and does not represent real historical data.
