I’ve heard a lot about this upcoming horror movie Foreigners, and the first teaser trailer has been released. The trailer has an atmospheric and creepy vibe, but I’m not sure it does the best job of getting people to want to see the movie.

The film comes from Cinedigm and Bloody-Disgusting, and early reviews say it’s “the most effective use of the found footage format since The Blair Witch Project.” Other reviews describe it as “unspeakable, primal terror,” “a terrifying, suffocating viewing experience,” and “an assault entirely unlike anything found footage audiences have ever been subjected to.”
Here is the synopsis:
“The Outwaters takes viewers off the beaten path and into their own nightmares. The film takes place on three memory cards found in a sunny section of the Mojave Desert. The footage inside is that of a quartet, who decided to make a music video while camping, led by a charismatic director from Los Angeles. Their journey begins without incident, though their peace is occasionally interrupted by unexplained sounds, vibrations, and unnatural animal behavior. Then one night everything changes, sending the quartet on a shocking journey through terror.
The Outwaters will hit theaters starting February 9 and will eventually land exclusively on the horror streaming service Screambox.
