After having been in some of the most important entertainment franchises, such as ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘The Mandalorian’ and the EUDC with ‘Wonder Woman 2’, now Pedro Pascal wants to be part of Marvel Studios to bring to life one of the new characters that will be introduced in new phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the coming years.

During an interview for Wire, the future protagonist of ‘The Last of Us’, Pedro Pascal has confessed that he would like to be part of the UCM. The actor was asked if he would have liked to be a part of the MCU movies when he was younger, and he replied, “But I still do, I want to be in movies,” expressing that he still has an interest in it.

Despite Pedro Pascal wants to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is aware that superheroes are in the midst of a political divide: “There are so many ways to misunderstand people and forget that, in the end, your neighbor will most likely take off his shirt and give it to you. The exchanges you have with strangers are, in most cases, human.

Although her DC stake only remained in ‘Wonder Woman 1984’, the third film starring Gal Gadot was canceled, despite the success of its premiere on HBO Max. But now, Pedro Pascal is looking for a role in the UCMand while that doesn’t mean Marvel will immediately pursue him, chances are both parties have an interest in each other, and perhaps at some point their dream will come true.

Pedro Pascal leaves DC to go with Marvel Studios

Although much of the criticism of ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ saved Pedro Pascal in his portrayal of the villain, the Chilean actor is now looking for new directions outside of DC’s controversial plans, to go with Marvel Studios. And is that, after “The Flash”, James Gunn and Peter Safran, current directors of DC Studios, want to reboot everything that had been seen so far.

And while his Maxwell Lord character didn’t die at the end of the film, it’s highly unlikely we’ll ever see him at the company again, with all the changes that are coming. The good thing is that the actor hasn’t lost interest in superhero movies, and though his schedule seems to be tightening up as time goes on, maybe he’ll find a spot for a new franchise.

Now, Pascal awaits the premiere of “The Last of Us”, the adaptation of the video game of the same name, in which he will bring Joel to life. It is a series that arrives on January 15 and which could be one of the big surprises in terms of television schedules for all of 2023.
