It’s been over a year since the multiverse that brought Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield back in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and the Marvel movie still has plenty of secrets to reveal. Now, a never-before-seen scene involving Spider-Man has been shared, along with Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and the Sandman.

Storyboard artist Phil Langone shared on his Instagram (via The Direct) a scene deleted from ‘Spiderman: There is no way back home’, in which he presents a sequence he’s been working on, but may never see the light of day. The moment in question involves Doctor Strange and Tom Holland’s Peter Parker having a conversation, which is interrupted by a sandstorm.

Doctor Strange and Spider-Man are interrupted by Flint Marko and Benedict Cumberbatch’s character tries to cast his spell, but Sandman’s storm distracts him and the ‘Spider-Man 3’ villain makes an appearance. It is then that the face of Thomas Haden appears, who comes face to face with Peter. The sandman stands up and the three face each other.

There are currently no details on when this happened scene in the story of ‘Spiderman: There is no way back home’, but everything seems to indicate that this is the part where Peter goes to Strange to ask him to erase Spider-Man’s true identity from collective memory. However, so far there is nothing confirmed.

Why was this scene removed from “Spiderman: NWH”?

Perhaps because that moment in which the Sandman becomes fully human Flint Marko, is decided delete this scene ‘Spider-Man: NWH’, due to Thomas Haden not being hired for the film. But Disney or Sony have not confirmed the real reasons, but it’s easy to think that this moment did not connect with what was seen in the order of events of the final version.

‘Spiderman: No Way Home’ has many scenes that didn’t make the final cut of the film, scrapped ideas that didn’t fit the plot. Like America Chavez’s introduction of Tobey and Andrew, or a final fight where Mysterio is one of the villains completing the Sinister Six, and who was supposed to defeat Doctor Strange in a magic duel.

Unlike the UCM catalog, ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’, is not on the Disney+ platform, but is on HBO Max and Claro Video, and also for rent or rental in other digital stores such as Apple’s TV, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube and Google play.
