Jeremy Renner shared a photo of himself in his hospital bed on Instagram after undergoing two surgeries. He also thanked the fans for their support by saying, “Thank you all for your kind words. 🙏. I’m too screwed up now to type. But I send love to all of you.
Renner suffered blunt chest trauma and injuries after a snowplow accident. We learned from Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve that Renner was helping plow a private road used by his family and his neighbors. It is explained that he then stopped his Snowcat to help a stranded motorist, who was identified as a family member. Renner reportedly exited the snow blower he was driving, which ended up sliding forward and injuring Renner as he attempted to stop the 14,000-pound vehicle.
Schieve told the Reno Gazette-General, “He was helping someone stuck in the snow. He’s always helping others. He’s always calling and saying, ‘Hey mayor, what do you need?'”
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office previously released the following statement: “We can confirm that Jeremy suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and underwent surgery today, January 2, 2023. He returned from surgery and remains in the unit.” of intensive care in critical but stable condition.”
Jeremy’s family expressed their gratitude to the “incredible doctors and nurses who care for him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families. They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciate the love and support of his fans.”
It seems Renner is lucky to be alive after what he’s been through, but he has a long road ahead of him.
