“Dune: Part Two” adds Tim Blake Nelson

Tim Blake Nelson is the latest addition to the cast of Dune: part twoappointment can be confirmed.

Details about the role he will play in the film, which went into production late last year, are a mystery. But he will appear alongside fellow franchise newcomers Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Léa Seydoux and Christopher Walken, as well as returning cast members Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Stellan Skarsgård and Javier Bardem.

Dune: part two is the second in a series of blockbuster films based on the epic science fiction novel by Frank Herbert and directed by Denis Villeneuve for Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment. The first, released in the fall of 2021, received six Oscars and earned more than $402 million worldwide.

Villeneuve directed the sequel from his script and produced alongside Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Tanya Lapointe and Patrick McCormick. Josh Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, Thomas Tull, Jon Spaihts, Richard P. Rubinstein and John Harrison served as executive producers, with Kevin J. Anderson serving as creative advisor. Photo is scheduled for a November 3rd release.
