The Man of Steel’s cameo in ‘Black Adam’ was quite a mess, because when he seemed to confirm that Henry Cavill would continue on to the next stage of the EUDC, James Gunn and Peter Safran arrived to confirm that the actor it would be left out in plans for the company’s future. However, this does not seem to be a new decision, because from 2018 they would have decided, and were even looking for a replacement.

According to a report from Variety, it is said that Henry Cavill has been ruled out as Superman since 2018, right after the premiere of Joss Whedon’s ‘Justice League’. Tobey Emmerich, former Warner boss, would have been the one who would have made that decision at the time, and who would have pushed for the search to begin to find the new Man of Steel actor.

since 2018 that Warner would have been looking for the new SupermanHowever, and thanks to Dwayne Johnson’s insistence, Henry Cavill returned once again as Clark Kent in ‘Black Adam’ which was a big deal for the company’s executives. After poor box office results, ‘The Rock’ anti-hero was left in limbo for the future of the EUDC.

It was then that Emmerich lobbied top Warners to remove Henry Cavill of DC’s future. This seems to imply that a Superman reboot wouldn’t have been James Gunn’s idea, but had been in the works for years, but HBO Max’s ‘Justice League Snyder Cut’ and ‘Black Adam’ would only delay the inevitable.

Henry Cavil without Superman and without “The Witcher”

Changes don’t come easy in Hollywood, especially when it comes to some of the most expensive and major productions. And though “Black Adam” would have been a hit, Cavill has had his days doomed within the DC Extended Universe. Plus, with the actor’s recent departure from “The Witcher,” he was left without two of the most popular franchises of his career.

Despite this, Henry Cavill has not been out of work, and although it is said that he may now be looking for another franchise to continue to support himself as a high-profile actor in cinema, his subsequent productions include ‘Warhammer 40k’, another adaptation of a video game, this time for Amazon Prime Video, where you can demonstrate your great fanaticism for the series.

Even though Cavill is now no longer playing the roles of Superman and Geralt de Rivia, that doesn’t mean he will go unnoticed, on the contrary, since many fans believe it is the perfect opportunity for Marvel to cast him, and even rumors so that it will join the following installments of “Avatar”.
