The trailer was loaded with terrifying madness and is only a small fraction of the nightmarish horrors that await audiences. During a recent interview with Empire Magazine, director Lee Cronin talked about the trailer and anticipated the film:

“The ripped scalp is definitely one of my favorites. It burns a little in the eye. It’s a taste. There’s so much more to come – the moments that people respond to, you actually only get 10% of the experience.”

Cronin continued on about the embarrassing scene of the cheese grater being slammed into someone’s leg:

“It’s what I like to call the ‘leg-guine’ scene. They always terrify me when I’m cooking, because it’s so easy you might lose a few knuckles. When I was creating the film, I was just thinking about something… not to mention I didn’t it’s never been used before, but I haven’t seen it myself.”

Then there’s the tattoo machine, which is said to have significance in the film’s narrative, and the director explained how:

“Ellie’s character is a tattoo artist in the story, which brings the tattoo gun into play. I actually have a tattoo on my arm right now which is a terrible stick drawing of one of the death moments in Evil Dead Rise – but I can’t show it yet because we haven’t ruined that real moment.”
