Hugh Jackman recently shared a video on social media throwing some shade Ryan Reynolds above the song “Good Afternoon” from the Christmas movie Humorous, which was selected by The Academy for the Best Song category. She said if Reynolds is nominated for best song, it would make the next year of his life “unbearable.”

As he took some playful shots at his Deadpool 3 costar, also seemed to drop what could be the film’s title as he calls it Wolverine and Deadpool. Reynolds first responded to the song, saying, “I disagree. I think deepfakes who sang and danced for Will and would love to perform at the Oscars.” The plaintiff then went on to address the Wolverine and Deadpool elephant in the room, saying, “Even ‘Wolverine and Deadpool’, man?”

The film’s title has yet to be confirmed or denied, but it could be that Jackman is having fun with Reynolds putting Wolverine’s name before Deadpool. The film could be titled Deadpool and Wolverine as far as we know, or it could have an entirely different title! I don’t know, but it definitely got the fans talking. The studio could definitely have some fun marketing the film with this one.

Deadpool 3 was previously referred to by Reynolds as Deadpool/Wolverine but one thing we do know is that the official title has yet to be revealed by Marvel and I guess that won’t happen for a while.

The film is directed by Shawn Leviwho previously teased the film’s violence and vulgarity, saying, “We’re writing, rewriting, developing, preparing ‘Deadpool’ every day now. It’s so much fun to laugh every day. It’s so delightful to hear and write and invent these scenes where people talk shit. And the violence is in your face and hardcore, and it’s just a ‘Deadpool’ movie.”

Also, Wolverine and Deadpool won’t get along in the film. Wolverine hates Deadpool and Jackman has spoken about this before, saying, “How do I rate him? Ten is very close, zero is reality, we are zero, we are opposites, we hate each other. I’m just talking from my point of view, [Logan’s] frustrated with him, wants to be a million miles away from him or wants to punch him in the head. Unfortunately, she can’t be a million miles away from him in this movie, so I’m probably going to be punching him in the head a lot.

Deadpool 3 is scheduled for November 8, 2024.
