The mid-season finale of Yellow stone Season 5 aired this weekend and I finally got a chance to watch it and I was so happy with what it offered. I hate that we have to wait until summer to continue this Season 5 story! One thing I was so happy to see in the episode was a surprise character return!

The episode showed us which fan-favorite character Jimmy Hurdstrom (Jefferson White) since leaving Yellowstone Ranch. It appears that he worked and enjoyed life on the 6666 ranch with his girlfriend Emily (Kathryn Kelly).
The episode offered a glimpse into his life as a cowboy at the Four Sixes known for breeding the best horses in the US and it was so nice to see him thriving, happy and enjoying life.
This short part of the episode offers our first look at Taylor Sheridanthe upcoming Yellowstone spin-off series 6666, coming to Paramount+. The official description for that series reads:
Founded when the Comanches still ruled West Texas, no ranch in America is more steeped in the history of the West than 6666. Still functioning as it did two centuries before and encompassing an entire county, 6666 has inspired a new scripted series in which the lo rule of law and the laws of nature merge in a place where the most dangerous thing you do is next. 6666 is synonymous with the ruthless effort to breed the finest horses and cattle in the world and ultimately where world-class cowboys are born and born.
There is no release date for 6666 yet, but it is slated for 2023. It would be nice to see the series launch before the return of Yellow stonebut while we wait, we can still enjoy watching the prequel series, 1923.
