In 2018, ‘Into the Spider-Verse’ came as a pleasant surprise for not only the arachnid fans but also the lovers of animated films with its impressive art style. For the sequel, the animators of ‘Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse’ decided to focus more on the adult and mature tone of Miles Morales’ story, and make sure it’s not a story for children.

In an interview for The Direct, Ere Santos, animator of ‘Spiderman: Through the Spider-Verse’, guarantees that Sony film is not for children. Santos says “some of the choices the characters made in the story were like, ‘What? Okay fine. Is it a children’s film? I guess it’s not a children’s film. Okay great. Yes, that’s fine.’ So it’s too exciting for me.”

During the conversation, Santos said one of the producers approached him and said that “Spiderman: Through the Spider-Verse’ it’s a brand new project”, and that they would not try “anything they have done before”. Therefore, the story of Miles Morales will be more adult and mature, which all ages could enjoy, although the story of him is much deeper than his predecessor.

However, it must be said thatSpiderman: Through the Spider-Verse’ it has no official classification, and has not been classified by any authority at the time. However, as this is an animated story, it will almost certainly be suitable for all ages, just with a more dramatic approach, like some Disney or Pixar animated films.

‘Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse’ Will Be ‘Amazing’

Ere Santos concluded the speech with some details on ‘Spiderman: Across the Spide-Verse’: “And when you see it, you will realize that there is nothing done before. I remember now how, when he was interviewed for the job, they were like, ‘Oh, you thought the first one was intense. You haven’t seen anything, it’s going to be great,” said the film’s senior animator.

So far, more than 240 characters, including many variations of Spiderman, have been confirmed to appear together on screen. And while there are still plenty of characters to be seen, some rumors should be confirmed in the coming weeks, like the appearance of Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield, who are rumored to be returning as well.

‘Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse’ will be released next June in cinemas around the world, and the creators anticipate that they should expect a visual proposition never seen before in animated cinema. So fans are eager to see more previews of the film.
