Tobey Maguire remembers the kiss that was torture in ‘Spiderman’ with Kirsten Dunst

In the first part of Sam Raimi’s “Spiderman” trilogy, there were many moments that remained forever in the history of the wall crawler. But if there is one scene that many remember, it is that of the kiss between Peter and Mary Jane, a sequence that was not at all pleasant for Tobey Maguire, and which he recalled again as torture in the recordings.

During a new interview for AP News, Tobey Maguire remembered the kiss from ‘spider man 1’, a moment he talked about earlier in the year, and which he once again said was not a pleasant thing to record. The difficulties of the scene were that the rain, the mask and the location made it difficult for him to kiss Kirsten Dunst the way he wanted to.

Of, Tobey Maguire says kissing Kirsten Dunst was torture: “It was raining up or down my nose. She couldn’t breathe and gasped in the corner of Kirsten’s mouth. poor girl. For her part, Kirsten Dunst recalls that even the moment of the kiss in ‘Spiderman 1’ (available on Netflix, HBO Max, Disney and Claro), was unpleasant for her: “I didn’t think it was a famous kiss because Tobey was.. Water ran down his nose from the rain, and then he couldn’t breathe in the Spider-Man suit, and then… It felt so late at night. I didn’t think so.”

“But the way it was introduced to me, Sam gave me this book about celebrity kissing so I could see how romantic and special Sam wanted it to be. Even if it didn’t necessarily look like that with Tobey hanging upside down,” concluded Dunst.
