Epic Pictures has released a trailer for a sci-fi time travel thriller titled Tomorrow’s job. The film tells an interesting and unique story centered around a team of thieves who use a drug that allows them to swap minds with their future selves so they can steal secrets from the future. I like this concept, and it’s very different from any other type of time travel movie I’ve seen.
The film comes from the director Bruce Wemple (Hours altered, Artifact of the Lake, Monstrous, Withdrawal, The Dawn of the Beastand My best friend is dead) and this is the synopsis:
Lee (Grant Schumacher) and his expert team of thieves use a time travel drug to swap places with their future selves to pull off heists. To operate effectively and safely, the team has a strict set of rules to ensure limited time impact. When interrupted on a job, Lee and the team must correct their past mistakes to avoid dire consequences and save their future.
While I like the concept, the execution feels pretty hit and miss. Might be worth a look, though. The film is the protagonist Grant Schumacher, Caitlin Duffy, Ariella Mastroianniand Chris Cimpermann.
Tomorrow’s job The sci-fi thriller will be released in select US theaters on January 13, 2022, then on VOD everywhere starting January 17.
