Tobey Maguire prefers Batman and Superman to Spiderman as his favorites

When kids raised in the 2000s think of a big-screen Spider-Man, most will agree that Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker is the one that comes to mind. But despite starring in Sam Raimi’s ‘Spiderman’ trilogy, the actor has named Batman and Superman as his favorite superheroes of all time.

In a Reddit Q&A (via ComicBook), Tobey Maguire talks about his favorite superheroes of every time. To the surprise of some, the biggest DC Comics icons are on his list of names, and even more surprising is that he mentioned some Jedi from the “Star Wars” franchise, since anyone with superpowers makes the list.

When asked about her favorites, Tobey Maguire prefers Batman and Superman to Spiderman. The ‘Babylon’ actor says: “[Tengo el] Same problem with pasta. So many good ones that it’s very hard to choose. Batman, Superman, some of those Jedi, Hulk, Iron Man, Wolverine, Spider-Man of course and more,” she told followers of him.

But, just like many comic book fans have several Marvel and DC characters as favorites, Tobey Maguire is also a fan of Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent, which isn’t to say he doesn’t have a special affection for Spiderman. It is precisely this love of the wall crawler that has accepted Disney’s offer to return with Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield in “Spiderman: No Way Home”.

Since the premiere of ‘Spider-Man 3’, ‘Bully Maguire’ memes have flooded the internet and many fans have shown their love for Tobey with thousands of pictures and videos about him. Now that the actor is back in “No Way Home,” his fans are waiting for the day when he can don the costume again in a new solo film in his saga with Sam Raimi.

After spending a few years away from the big screen, Tobey Maguire is back this year with ‘Babylon’, the new film from Damien Chazelle, director of ‘La La Land’ and ‘Whiplash’, and who shares the screen with big stars like Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, Diego Calva, Olivia Wilde and many more.
