Logitech recently sent me their G705 gaming mouse to review, and I’ve really enjoyed using it. It’s an aesthetically pleasing mouse that works well that I’ve only had one problem with so far.

The mouse itself is well-designed for a variety of hand sizes. It was created to be accommodating to smaller hands. I have medium sized hands with long fingers (my hand measures about 7.5 inches from top of my middle finger to bottom of palm/wrist) and still found it comfortable to use. The indent on the side creates a nice resting place for my thumb and while I would like a little more bulk in the body of the mouse, it’s still comfortable for me to use. I can definitely see how someone with smaller hands would really like the design. With my longer fingers I have to place the mouse higher up on my hand so it’s no longer fully in my palm or I have to bend my fingers slightly to get them in a better position. Like I said, for me this isn’t a problem, but if it’s not something you want to do, then a different mouse would be better for you. I’ve included pictures to show you exactly what I mean so you can make a better decision about it.

The mouse itself works really well. The scroll wheel is very responsive and comes with a nice quiet click that is not disturbing. Using the mouse is pleasant, it is very fluid and reacts well even to slower movements. There’s a button on the mouse that will let you change its speed, and you can download software to fine-tune it, but so far I’ve found that I haven’t needed it. I like having that option right on the mouse in case I need to change it quickly, or at least use it as a good starting point to change it more precisely to my preferences.

My only problem so far with the mouse was that it was a bit difficult to connect bluetooth. It comes with a lightning-fast receiver so you can bypass it altogether, but if you don’t have an extra USB port to spare you’ll need to connect with bluetooth. It’s not impossible, I finally got it to work, not sure if it was my computer that was the problem or if the mouse just needed to be plugged into a power source that was causing me problems. Just know that you may have to work out some issues.

Overall, I think this mouse is well made. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this for anyone with large hands, but if you have small to medium sized hands, this could be a great mouse for you. It is responsive and accurate and has served me well so far. I would give it an 8/10. You can now pick up a Logitech G705 wireless gaming mouse, as of this writing it costs $79.99 but is normally $99.99.
