Russian travel blogger Elena Liseikina has disclosed the full cost of her recent domestic river cruise voyage on the Dzen blogging platform. Writing on her personal blog Travels with a Camera, Liseikina shared her financial breakdown after travelling aboard the Sankt-Peterburg motor ship on a round-trip route from Moscow.
The journey cost Liseikina 69,000 rubles, which covered her stay in a premium-class cabin as well as onboard meals and activities. The ship followed a Volga River route from the Russian capital to the historic towns of Myshkin and Tutaev before returning to Moscow.
Liseikina explained that full meals were included in the total ticket price. She described the cabin as modern and equipped with amenities including slippers, bathrobes, a hair dryer, shampoo, and soap. Soundproofing proved to be the standout feature of the accommodation, with Liseikina noting that she could barely hear neighbours or activity in the hallways.
Cruise amenities and booking costs
The 69,000 ruble total included guided shore excursions, workshops, concerts, and onboard oxygen cocktails. Liseikina pointed out that cruise rates on the route can fluctuate depending on promotional discounts and early booking offers.
Dzen is a Russian blogging and content platform where creators publish travel logs and photo essays. The Sankt-Peterburg is a passenger cruise ship operating on Russian waterways. Its itinerary through Myshkin and Tutaev takes passengers along the Volga River, a major region for river tourism in central Russia.
Previous travel budget advice
The cruise update follows earlier travel advice published by Liseikina, in which she described five Russian cities as destinations where travellers could fly for the price of a train ticket. Among her examples was the city of Kazan, where airfare started at 4,500 rubles.
Kazan, the regional capital of Tatarstan, is located along the Volga River and serves as one of Russia's primary tourist and cultural hubs.
