Reality television star Dakota Mortensen revealed a secret tattoo honoring ex-girlfriend Taylor Frankie Paul in the trailer for season five of Hulu series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
The former couple are currently involved in a custody dispute over their 2-year-old son, Ever, who was born in 2024, following their breakup over cheating allegations. In the first-look trailer released on Aug. 26, Taylor asks Dakota, "Why did you get my initials tattooed on your lips? It's giving obsessed." Dakota replies in a flirty tone, "I am obsessed."
Filming for the Hulu reality series was temporarily paused in March 2026 due to escalating friction between the pair. Taylor and Dakota subsequently obtained competing protective orders against each other in April 2026 during legal proceedings over custody of their son.
Trailer Teases Escalating Drama and Split Fallout
Costar Mayci Neeley teases in the trailer that the situation has grown far more complicated than viewers realize. "There's so much stuff the public doesn't know," Mayci says in the teaser. "This whole thing has spiraled."
The surrounding fallout has impacted the entire MomTok group. Jessi Draper quips in the footage, "They're like Romeo & Juliet in the TikTok age," while Taylor declares, "The damage is done."
Dakota has since moved on with Taylor's former friend Shinia Powell. Meanwhile, Jessi is navigating marital fallout of her own, leading Taylor to tell her in the clip, "You're clearly not happy. Look how miserable you are."
