Supermodel Cindy Crawford has opened up about the constant comparisons between her and her lookalike daughter, model and actress Kaia Gerber, saying the similarity does not bother her at all.
Cindy, 60, and Kaia, 25, are widely considered carbon copies of one another, sharing matching brown eyes, voluminous dark hair and model physiques. Speaking to PORTER magazine, Cindy said she embraces the commentary but acknowledged it could be harder on her daughter.
"It doesn't annoy me at all. I love it, but I don't know what it's like to have a famous parent," Cindy said. "I think, for Kaia, it's just a part of who she is, and she's going to have to handle it."
"There are perks that come with it, and then there are probably annoying things, and I have acknowledged that with her. I'm sure at times it sucks."
Cindy Crawford rose to fame as one of the leading supermodels of the 1980s and 1990s and remains one of the most recognisable faces in fashion. Kaia Gerber has followed her mother into modelling and has also built a career as an actress.
Kaia looked the spitting image of her mother while calling back to Cindy's 90s glamour in Los Angeles on Wednesday, in a look drawing direct comparison to a photo of Cindy from 1992.

Cindy wowed in a semi-sheer skirt and a plunging leather jacket for the shoot, which appeared this month. The cover star also shared a glimpse of white lingerie beneath a striped blue shirt and a transparent skirt.
Elsewhere in the interview, Cindy spoke about her gratitude for the chance to work alongside Kaia on shoots over the years, including a shared moment on the runway.
"We've had these special moments that, if I wasn't in fashion, we wouldn't have had. Like when we were both in the Versace show in 2017," she said.
"I wasn't there as Kaia's mom, and she wasn't there as my daughter. She was there, I was there, both for our own reasons, and there've been a few of those little moments. I love whenever I get to work with Kaia. It's really fun."
Marriage to Rande Gerber
Cindy shares Kaia and 27-year-old son Presley with her husband, Rande Gerber, 64, to whom she has been married since 1998. In the interview, Cindy discussed how the couple are learning to "redefine" their 28-year marriage now that their children have moved out.
"When you get married, you talk about what kind of family you want or where we're going to live," she said. "But no one ever talks about what this phase looks like, empty nesting, because it's so far away you can't even imagine it."
"But it's an opportunity for us to redefine our relationship. What do we want to do, do we want to travel, do we not want to travel? We haven't answered those questions yet but we're asking the questions, and it's fun trying to figure that out together."
Life at Gerber Point Lodge
Cindy and Rande enjoy an off-the-radar lifestyle at their seven-acre lodge, named Gerber Point Lodge, in Ontario, Canada.
"It's a very unplugged place. We'll work out on our dock, go in our sauna, jump in the lake, go on the boat and have what we call docktails, like a cocktail party but on the dock," Cindy said.
