Tamar Braxton took to social media with a message for fans to take care of their health during the holiday season.
The Braxton Family Values star, 45, wrote that she was taken to a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and put on oxygen.
Singer Toni Braxton’s younger sister added: “Please be careful… I haven’t been there much [of] people and have NO IDEA where it came from.’

“This is not an attention post…this is an ATTENTION post,” she began the statement on her 5.5. Millions of Instagram followers.
The lengthy caption continued, “Literally went shopping and had some Christmas fun with my best friends @normankgyamfi and @wardellmalloy. [sh**] and THE NEXT DAY I had to be taken to the hospital by AMBULANCE, needed oxygen because I thought God was taking me home because I couldn’t breathe and my chest was on fire!!’
In a carousel upload, the former reality TV personality included videos of her shopping spree as well as footage of her in a hospital bed.
Braxton said, “I have the flu and let me tell you it’s worse than COVID in my opinion.”

The singer-songwriter also updated her support about her treatment, adding: “I’m on five different medications.”
“I haven’t been around many people and I have NO IDEA where it’s coming from,” she commented on her health.
Braxton closed the post when she was done: “Enjoy your vacation at home… You don’t want this. Oh yeah, I’m in total isolation because it’s contagious. I really love you.’
At the hospital where she was treated by the Married to Medicine star, Dr. Jackie Walters, wearing a gray Adidas sweatshirt.
She pulled the hood over her head while wearing a blue disposable face mask and was exposed with an oxygen tube in her mouth.

The post received more than 48,000 likes and her mother, Evelyn Braxton, was one of the commenters as she wrote: “I love you. Get well soon Tamar.’
Her former The Real co-host Adrienne Bailon added: “I’m praying for a speedy recovery! Love you…’
In October, the mother-of-one told E! News that she was in a good place in life.
“I am happy in my career. I am happy with myself and my child. I am happy with my family. I do things that feed my soul and increase that safe, happy place that I fought so hard for and nothing can take away from me,” she explained.
Braxton is her nine-year-old son Logan with ex-husband Vincent Herbert, to whom she was married from 2008 to 2019.
