So no wonder some sources close to Pete have EXCLUSIVELY said Hollywood life that the comedian is “upset” when Emily dates another man.

“Pete understands that Emily just got out of the marriage and doesn’t want to smother her,” a source said after Emily filed for divorce in September from her ex-husband. But you’re not putting all your eggs in one basket either. They both have very busy lives and Pete’s career is on the rise. Pete told Emily that he feels sorry for her and she knows that he really likes him. He didn’t hide this secret from his close friends or his family.

Sources close to the model revealed: “Emily just got out of a long-term relationship in her marriage, so the last thing she wants right now is any kind of commitment. She is not tied to anyone and she has no plans to settle down. Right now, she’s allowed to test the waters and enjoy her freedom. Emily hasn’t given Pete, or anyone else, any sort of indication that she sees anything long-term at this point. It’s not that she’s playing games, she’s just finding out what she really wants. Emily isn’t putting any kind of timeline on things and for now she loves the single life.”

Another source added, “Emily has been very clear to everyone in her life that she will no longer be in a relationship. She is on a journey of self discovery right now and her only commitment is to herself and her son. He wants the freedom to spend time with whoever he wants without feeling guilty, and that’s exactly what he’s doing.”

Rumors circulated that Pete and Emily were dating after the two spent Thanksgiving together and were photographed on Nov. 24. A few days later, they reportedly confirmed their romance by attending the NY Knicks game together on Nov. 27.

Just a few weeks earlier, Emily was seen passionately kissing DJ Orazio Rispo, 35, during a date in New York City on Oct. 14. The supermodel and DJ were spotted again this week following her string of dates with Pete. Emily and Horace, the son of a New York luxury real estate baron, were all smiles when they stepped out in the Big Apple.
