Matt rose to fame two years ago when he made the Delta Goodrem team’s top 20 on The Voice Australia.
The star said earlier this year that he was drawn to writing love songs, but admitted that he does not fall in love easily.
“I write a lot of love songs, which is funny because I haven’t had many girlfriends,” he said.

“I think it feels natural to express my opinion through music while in real life I sometimes struggle,” he added.
Matt, who plays Theo Poulos on the show, will have his music featured in upcoming scenes in the series.
“It’s very exciting for me because it’s really nice to combine both worlds,” he said.
“It was hard to almost let the music go by playing alone for a while, so it’s really nice to be able to do both.”
