Netflix has reportedly decided to limit the number of sex scenes in Bridgerton’s upcoming second series.
The animated costume drama became famous for its steamy scenes in its first season, notably Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and The Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page).
However, according to Il Solei, fans can expect a more full-blown romance between new leads Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).
Change: Netflix has reportedly decided to reduce the number of sex scenes in Bridgerton’s upcoming second series
A source said, “The consultants who loved the ER of the daring show probably hoped that the sequel would have more sex, not less.
Most of the bedroom scenes were previously played by Phoebe Dynevor as Daphne Bridgerton and Rege-Jean Page’s husband, the Duke of Hastings. But he doesn’t appear in the second series and is more of a background character.
Now the whole love story revolves around Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan, and new character Kate Sharma, played by Simone. But their lust never goes beyond flirting and kissing.
MailOnline reached out to Netflix representatives for comment.

Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington, recently talked about what fans can expect from her character in the new series.
Speaking to Claudia Winkleman on BBC Radio 2, she said: “(After) this revelation at the end of the first series, you can see a lot behind the scenes in the second series.
“We see him walking away from what he’s lost. And it was a lot of fun for me because in the first series he was a shy and withdrawn flower and then in the second series you say, ‘Oh, there’s something new about him,’ and it was super fun.’

Drama: But fans can expect a more full-blown romance between new leads Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), according to The Sun.
Nicola added that this time Penelope has more control over her fashion choices, as she’s “starting to find her own way.”
Talking about the success of the show, he said: “It’s absolutely crazy that so many people have fallen in love with him. Wonderful.’
Nicola added that the cast is “very excited” to return to the set for the second film series, but said it was “very strange” to be returning to something so familiar.
“It was our little job to do before the block and then you said, ‘Oh, I saw it on Netflix.’ But we were all really excited to be back.”
Bridgerton’s new season hits Netflix on March 25.
