‘Basketball Wives’ Star Shaunie O’Neal Had a ‘Bridezilla Moment’ Before Marrying Pastor Keion Henderson (Exclusive)

The stressful moment came after her children: miles25, Share22, and shaquir, 19, – stepped forward to walk her down the aisle in place of her loving father, who had suddenly passed away, just two months before their wedding. “For the guys to come up with that fix and be there for me, that meant everything. I think it was the best idea of ​​all. I’ll never forget that,” Shaunie said of her three children, whom she shares with her ex-husband. With just 48 hours until the big party, Shaunie’s boyfriend Keion, 40, had to spring into action to get the kids dressed in time. “Their dresses were made 48 hours in advance in the United States and then we had to figure out how to get them from Houston, Texas to the island,” the Lighthouse Church pastor shared during the EXCLUSIVE interview. “The suits arrived on time, but none of the guys measured them themselves, so when the suits arrived, they did fit, but they weren’t functional. The boys couldn’t raise their arms, it was funny. They couldn’t hug each other because otherwise the suit arms would be ripped off. And shirts didn’t come with coats. So we had to go to the gift shop and buy Island shirts to wear under the jacket, which turned out to be the exact color they were meant to be.

It’s easy to see why Shaunie’s limits have been tested! “I think I became Bridezilla for a brief moment when I realized they didn’t have any shirts and we were supposed to find them somewhere on the island and then they didn’t have their sizes,” she admitted. “You know, guys are huge, they can’t just wear regular jerseys. It was a disaster. So yeah, it was extremely stressful for about two hours before the wedding. And then it was like that. As much as they walked down the aisle shirtless, that just didn’t happen in our day.

Six months into their wedding, the happy couple settled into newlywed life at home in Texas, looking forward to spending their first Thanksgiving as Mr. and Mrs. Henderson. “We will be with Keion’s side of the family for Thanksgiving. My kids are everywhere. My youngest plays in college and they play the day after Thanksgiving somewhere so he’s gone. And Shareef is traveling playing NBA G-League and Myles is DJing somewhere and girls [Amirah, 21, and Mearah, 16] they’re actually going with dad for Thanksgiving this year. Then we ate and then watched “Wakanda”. And then it’s my birthday [Nov, 27] and I don’t know what happens, I know my husband has something planned,” Shaunie shared.

“She’s more of a destination birthday guy, so she’d rather go somewhere than do anything here,” Keoine explained. “Then I’ll try to get you somewhere where you can enjoy yourself. Like you just said, the kids are leaving, so this is the first Thanksgiving since we’ve met where it’s just us.
