Don’t expect a female version of Captain Jack Sparrow.
Over the summer, it emerged that Margot Robbie works closely with the creators of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. It was speculated that the celebrity could play a female character who will replace Jack Sparrow. But apparently these plans will not be realized.
In a recent interview, Robbie warned fans not to expect her to be a pirate. Apparently the project bosses abandoned their plans.
“We had an idea, and we developed it for a while, many years ago – to have more main characters. Not quite the female version, but just a different kind of story that we thought would be really cool. But I believe they don’t want this anymore,” the actress admitted to Vanity Fair.
It’s worth noting that Robbie is unlikely to be upset about the suspension of the project. After all, she actively acts in films – this year the movie “Amsterdam” was released with her participation, and next year Robbie’s fans will see her in the image of Barbie in the film of the same name. In short, the actress has no end of offers.
