Prince Charles was considered the heir to the throne, breaking the record for the longest wait in line. But this year, the throne finally passed to him. And recently, the late Elizabeth II’s son celebrated his first birthday as king.
Charles III turned 74 on November 14. In honor of this event, the cavalry band played the song Happy Birthday during the changing of the guard. Later, with the same song of the king, congratulate the band of the Scots Guards. And then a gun salute began in Charles’s honor.
Mass celebrations and other official events did not take place on this day. The king decided to celebrate his birthday with his loved ones, according to royal social media accounts.
